Phase I clinical trials recruit people who are interested in contributing towards research, but are generally healthy or do not have the condition or disease being investigated. While the motivation for enrolment varies amongst participants, all of them are heroes supporting the progression of medicine and clinical research with the prospect of doing good for others.
